Sometime after the First Cenozoic Event Renny met Loki, who identified himself as an ancient god somehow reincarnated in the event and banished to a beer bottle by Odin, his superior. Loki explained that the five children he called "avatars" had banded together, using their elemental powers to drive humanity off the face of the earth through a series of events like the FCE. He also claimed that to stop the mythological gentrification, the avatars must be killed. Renny was one of a handful of humans who, during the FCE, came to possess amazing abilities. Now Renny is led around the globe by Loki, using her strength and wits in an increasingly desperate bid to find the five individuals who ruined her life and ended countless others before the next Event makes fighting back a moot point.

Claiming to be the famous Norse god of tricks and deception banished to a lite beer bottle, Loki is every bit as sneaky and conniving as his name implies. He seems to have some connection to the FCE and is obviously focused on stopping the avatars. There is little he will not sacrifice for self-preservation. Still, he seems to have a fondness for Renny and often relates to her as a sibling would. Despite their bond, Loki often remains cryptic about his knowledge of and connection to events surrounding the FCE.

The Chimera tagged along after Renny belted it with a rock. It seems bonded to Renny somehow and she reluctantly lets it into the group after it saves her from attack by the spider-men.
